Meet our Experts

We are excited for you to learn from them both! They have a wealth of knowledge built up from years of experience in the cattle industry.

  • Dr. Kelli Kolar was raised on a cattle ranch in Raynesford, Montana, which sparked her interest in veterinary medicine and love of agriculture and rural lifestyle. From childhood through her education, Dr. Kolar has spent a lot of time working with cattle and working with horses of multiple disciplines. These experiences set her on the path to large animal medicine early on.

    Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Kolar returned home to practice veterinary medicine and help run the family ranch. She began working at Associated Veterinary Services in Great Falls, where she currently still works part-time. In June 2022, Dr. Kolar formed South Peak Veterinary Services in order to be able to focus more on her passion for large animal medicine and work closer to the family ranch. Her special interests include large animal reproduction, equine sports medicine, equine dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine in all species. When she’s not working, Dr. Kolar enjoys spending time outdoors and helping on the ranch with her horse, Blazer, and her cow dog, Luna.


  • Jacob Rose is our main source of all practical cattle handling tips! As the manager of Rose Cattle Company he spends his time taking care of the cattle at the backgrounding lot and when they are on summer grass in White Sulphur Springs, Montana. As Karoline’s older brother, Jacob gets roped into many projects but is always there when we have a question or need advice!

    When not working around the operation you can find Jacob at a ranch rodeo or spending time with his wife Kelsey and two kids, Jasen and Ellie!
