In our inaugural episode of The Cattleman U Podcast we had the opportunity to speak with some of the producers we know about their operations and how they do things.

Our first guest is Howard Rambur in Sidney, Montana who runs Charolais and a few Angus cattle. Their operation is vertically integrated as they not only have their herd but run a feed yard as well! If you are ever in his part of the country he would love to chat with you about all things cattle.

The next guests, Brad, Ryan and Trent Boner join us from Wyoming! Their operation, M Diamond Angus, is located in an area that can be affected by severe drought so they focus on raising cattle suited for that climate. Brad is fifth generation and Ryan and Trent are sixth generation involved in agriculture. They share with us about what makes their operation different and how you can connect with them!

Our final guest is Brady Blackett with Intermountain Genetic Alliance located in Utah! Brady explains how the Intermountain Genetic Alliance works and why it was created.

We are excited to have these conversations with some of the producers we work with. This episode is packed full of information and conversation you will enjoy!

In this episode we will learn:

  • There is not one size fits all when it comes to raising cattle

  • Every operation has something that makes them unique

  • The importance of knowing what sets you apart and how to tell others about it
